I went to see Ditch on Saturday and really enjoyed it. I think the enjoyment was increased by the fact that it was held at the old vic tunnels. The creepy atmosphere inside, the exhibition beforehand. The play was also very well written giving a good insight into life during times of war. The sound effects were the best I've heard anywhere, better than in any theatre. The only minus point was the actors were really not very engaging sadly and sometimes fail to draw the audience into the scenes.
And there's the ending, there were huge gasps of shock from the audience at the ending. Hey, who doesn't like a nice shock ending...

7.5/10

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this, superhero. Both my bf and I didn't enjoy it that much. I hated the stench in the tunnels, I didn't find the exhibition that interesting (and I usually like very weird stuff), and it was hard for me to hear what some of the actors were saying when trains were passing above us. And don't get me started on the ending.

Well yeah the exhibition wasn't the most interesting, the one organised by punchdrunk last year was a million times better, but I am just crediting them for trying something different...instead of just showing a play in a standard theatre house.
I had a problem with some of the actors too... and as for the ending, I guess for good or bad. the audience was surprised....

This really was an unusual experience I'm so glad I went.
I loved the set and all the tableaux as you walked through the tunnel to your seat.
I was quite impressed by the actors and had no difficulty hearing what they were saying (I am slightly deaf as well).
Maybe it helped that I was sitting right at the front.
I b*ght the 'programme' which is also the full script of the play and noticed that the ending was slightly different to what we saw.
I would rate it even more highly than Superhero did 8.5/10 from me.

Funny you should say that - I had tickets for the MCM Expo but chose to go to this instead.
I saw loads of people dressed as anime characters on Waterloo station. Did you dress up for the occasion raj101?
