Lights Out

I enjoyed Lights Out. It's not a serious horror film contender in the sense that I didn't find it scary at all, the storyline is limited aswell as the set designs/locations. It had a lot of potential to be a really good horror film but was limited maybe by budget and or creative licence. It has lots of jumpy moments, mostly the men where jumping when I saw it with Warner Bros! I particularly liked the 'boyfriend moments' with Alexander DiPersia which made the film funny and worth watching, and not just for his good looks. The young boy does a very good job at looking really scared, like something really bad is going to happen. If you have a severe fear of the dark...probably best to avoid this film! But I found it to funny and very tame.

Saw this last night at Vue Piccadilly at the Frightfest screening, so a beer or wine on the way in and an intro from the Frighfest guy.

Quite a good story, although silly, but nevertheless enjoyable with an interesting lights on, lights off concept. Well acted with a good cast, who all seems to interact well together. I like the older sister, younger brother dynamics and I would also like a boyfriend like that. The mum has an imaginary friend, and the daughter tells her, "There is a dead woman in this house, Mom, and you let her stay!” It really is not scary at all. It's fun and entertaining. 6/10

A short film at a reported 81 minutes which had imo potential

If you DIDN'T like It Follows (and not a criticism) in that that gets the adrenaline pumping then this would be in that genre/ ball park

If longer it would have been better and more like It Follows
I agree NOT the film it could have been more an intro or warm up act to It Follows

As there was nothing new to see at the cinema this was the best of the bunch

As light out was way too short & some unexplained moment and opportunity missed Only 6/10
Quentin Rodriguez & Robert Tarantino

Caught this finally last night, few unexpected twists throughout but as ever the story line is too predictable, makes it less of a surprise when it happens.

Thoroughly enjoyed however, an enjoyable watch. Some of the acting mind wasn't fantastically plausible. Especially at the very close of the film.
