Allied
Re: Allied
I enjoyed the film. It was a bit predictable, but since I love romance it turned out to be really great.
Re: Allied
Loved it!
Re: Allied
I saw this at Wood Green cineworld and it started on time for a change which was good. I really enjoyed it. I thought both main actors were believable and the story had me absorbed from the beginning. It was more a romantic film than a spy movie but that was okay with me. Very enjoyable. 7/10

Re: Allied
Really enjoyed the film. It was better than what I was expecting. I was never bored watching this film. Although I do agree about the odd dodgy cgi shot as this took me out of the movie but only for a few seconds. Pitt and Cotillard's chemistry was really good and I thought that their performances were brilliant.
Overall 7.5/10

Re: Allied
8/10 from me.
As already mentioned a good chemistry between Pitt and Cotillard.
Could story which could have been based on a true story.
Enough suspense to keep you interested until the end.
Very enjoyable.

Re: Allied
Ipswich was packed, I'd say 95% full.
I really liked it and didn't find it predictable, except for getting a flash of the ending just before it happened.
Oh, and any WWII movie which doesn't play the dirge aka "We'll Meet Again" gets my vote..... so dreary and over used!

Re: Allied
Hi All,
This was my first preview film, and it was very busy indeed! I appreciated the thoroughness of staff to ensure phones were off rather than 'on silent'.
Film was very enjoyable, but did feel as though the start and end was very rushed. It would have been nice to learn a little more about Max(Maurice), rather than just showing a Canadian army uniform and why he decided to stay in London etc etc....
But overall 8/10 - was very gripping

Re: Allied
I enjoyed this film, different slant to the usual war story.

Re: Allied
I thought it was okay, I wasn't sure Brad Pitt pulled the role off. I was actually grateful to be in a warm and cosy cinema with the dreadful stormy, floody weather yesterday. I loved the parts in Casablanca and the conspiracy however I thought there could've been more to the film. I was wondering whether a sand storm would completely cover the car! Lol 6/10

Re: Allied
I was bored and thought Brad Pitt very dull. I thought he looked as bored as I felt.
I was also at Wood Green which has to be one of the most awful cinemas around but for a change they started on time and they remembered to turn off the lights and there was sound on the film. Our previous experiences at Wood Green have been diabolical and we tend to avoid the place if we can.
