Wow, asamaic and MrG, I'm impressed with all this talk of you both doing a parkrun at Leeds. o/

I've always been very envious of people who have the stamina, determination and ability to run. Sadly, I fear that it's beyond me - although I'm certain I could do it, if bikes were allowed. ;)

Well, I've had a very mixed week this week. I've done a load of calorie burning fitness classes which seemed very hard still after my pre Christmas leisure centre membership lapse. However the diet side of things hasn't been great. I've made several extremely bad food choices (pies, pasties, bread, biscuits and cake) almost everyday this week and what's more I've majorly overeaten as well. :tears: :(

I knew that I would never lose any weight this week, but having said that I am rather relieved and quite surprised not to have put any more on. I'm more than happy to report that I've just maintained this week. :D

:shifty: I've given myself a stiff talking to, and have resolved to make much healthier food choices going forward. I'm stocking up on fish, salady stuff and vegetables and have resolved to cook my meals from fresh. I am going to be using a smaller plate to eat off as well. ;)

Anybody seen Jojojoanne? I hope I didn't scare her off. You'll be relieved to know that my lottery win was not forthcoming!! :P :D

I too have maintained. Not surprising though - I have been to my Great Uncle's funeral today and had a pork pie, garlic bread etc just got home and my next door neighbour had a baby boy this morning and now I am on the prosecco (I'm still in my funeral clothes) and it's only 3 O'Clock!!! Talk about a diverse day on a day's annual leave.

Thanks jojojoanne.

Where is everyone this week. I really had a bit of a crisis this week so not been good  Last Monday evening I phoned where I work privately on a Tuesday to see what patients were booked in to be told that they are shutting in 2 weeks time!!!! I have clinics booked, all my cards have the shop number on it so my home visits also phone them. I have no days off in the week to try and sort it out - popped there today to try and sort things out only to find a notice on the door saying now shut on Saturdays so can't access anything. I know its a rubbish excuse re the unhealthy diet but along with still visiting the 2 relatives not made time to plan meals.

I need to stop making excuses and get eating healthily.

I've been rubbish recently too, Diane65. I've had no sleep whatsoever (I don't know what's wrong, but one day I managed to get under 4 hours which is crazy even for me) and it's really thrown my eating patterns off. Need to get a handle on it.

Hoping to spend Sunday recovering from the week and rebalancing. Proper, good quality sleep cures all.

Saturday incidentally I managed to do 23.5k steps so whilst I've been tired and greedy, I haven't just been sitting around all the time!

Oh no, clinics shutting...not good! More challenges for super Diane to deal with. Dont worry about your diet, you find your way because you're always conscious of it (be it good or not as good as it should be, you finds your way!). But regardless of life challenges, eating well and healthily helps deal with them...perhaps think of it that way at least. Getting all your main vitamins and minerals, charges our brain to deal with anything thrown at us.

I too am struggling to eat at the right times, remember the days I used to advice split the meals throughout the day...that still stands always will (unless we evolve into a camel)...just a shame I'm not practising what I used to preach, lol. I dont have any excuses though, I can split those meals if I put my mind to it, so I better do that.

About splitting meals...it does wonders for losing fat for several reasons. 1. it increases the body metabolism, so you burn fat easier and quicker. 2. Cuts the cravings for sweet stuff. 4-5 meals a day (not more calories, just smaller meals. Try pack lunching and dip in at intervals)

My personal progress this week has been continued failure to win a game at the start of the week but my last two games, I finally found my winning ways on both occasion and amazingly enough to survive from being delegated to division 3. So I remain in Div 2, yay...well, small yay. Now to work my way up through the division to div 1. Have set myself a new fitness phase program tomorrow. I have much body fat to lose so it will be a high reps, low weights phase for me in the next 4-5 weeks, mixture of circuits and traditional gym work with my usual squash and cricket net sessions.

Diet wise...well today, I went to an Avenged Sevenfold concert at the o2...had two beers and a hotdog. Way to set an example! But its Saturday, it was a great rock concert and I did eat relatively healthy during the week so its fine.

Hope everyone is well. Eat healthy as much as you can, cover those vitamins and irons in the form of diverse colour vegetables (fruits too but remember fruits have sugar, vegs has same nutrients but without the calories). But also enjoy your treats, just do so in moderation and perhaps as a reward on weekends.

Great work with your steps count, asamaic...wow sounds a lot!

Amen to quality sleep o/ so Important but sometimes a challenge to get enough but its great you and Diane both try. I sometimes find it hard to maintain a consistent sleep pattern too, especially with my night time astronomy hobby thrown in the mix.

Well done on all those steps, asamaic and hope that good sleep follows all that work.

Diane, hoping that things work out for you and that you find another clinic for your Tuesday patients. How awful that they gave you no notice on this. Concern yourself with sorting that out and then you can set your mind on diet and exercise.

Wishing ClareBarr success in restarting her dieting but only when she is feeling up to it.

Always good to hear from Mr G and happy to hear that things are improving on the squash-front and glad to hear you remain in League 2 and have not been relegated. That is progress and you should be proud of that success.

As I am typing this at 3.30am I won't get into sleep routines as I no longer have one. But I do wish all of you WW'ers a sound sleep!
