Music Concerts/Gigs

Not sure how popular this would be but I have been curious if any FMUK members are gig goers?

If so maybe we can use this tread to discuss any gigs we are all going to/been to


Is anyone going to see Kings of Leon at Hyde Park on June 30th?

This is the next one I am going to :D

Also was anyone else at the Rage Against the Machine At Finsbury Park one? How brilliant was that!!

I was. Loved it. Also Gogol Bordello was great. Pity that they played for such a short time, though.

That was the 1st time Ive seen Gogol Bordello Live...what a crazy bunch! Would watch those guys again :D

Sounds like a fantastic idea. I go to gigs way too much (28 so far this year), often missing out on free films as a result. At the moment I've got about 8 gigs booked for the rest of the year the next being Broken Bells as part of the Meltdown Festival. The last one I went to was A Celebration of Kate McGarrigle on Saturday which was part of the Meltdown Festival too. It was such an amazing and emotional gig.

Everynight except last night as David Bryan wasn't performing for the first time ever as he was attending the Tony Awards. He was nominated for 8 for his broadway musical Memphis. He actually won 3 of them!

Yes to Pink......

I also have a few booked with the kids but they will be snooze fests for me as I can't stand JLS or Peter Andre...... The things us parents have to do (usually my children have good taste in music but on these two occasions my daughter has let me down badly.....)

Oh, wow, you were quite close to the stage. I saw the concert from far away. It was kind of weird for me, as I'm usually insane enough to try to get much closer to the stage.
