Not a night out but more an afternoon out.

Thanks to elski winning the VIP prize for the St Kats Floating Film Festival, we found ourselves on the two comfy sofas, with a bottle of bubbly and popcorn, overlooking the deckchairs and beanbags, for a screening of Finding Nemo,

What a lovely afternoon of watching this in the open on the St Katherine Docks yesterday. We were very lucky with the weather, a lovely warm and sunny day, with the exception of about five minutes of quite heavy rain showers which added to the effects of being in the ocean of the film! Very 4D getting splashes! haha. But the organisers were well prepared, within seconds, they came and got out some large brollies under our settees, and we stay dried as the rest of the spectators were under the awnings that covered the rest of the floating pontoon.

The screen was made up of pixels so the film colours were really amazingly sharp. I was surprised that I forgot quite a lot of the film (I keep thinking I don't remember this, oh, I remember this etc), so it was lovely to re-discover it, and I still enjoyed it enormously. Now I need to catch up with Finding Dory. Ellen DeGeneres is just perfect for the voice of Dory.

If I could, I want to give it 10+/10 :-)

Again not an evening out, but another afternoon out. :-)

Saw the Boy & the World at The London International Animation Festival 2016, screening at the Framed Film Club, a children's Saturday film club at the Barbican, which you can only attend if you bring a child, so no accompanied adults or children :-) So my friend took me along with her kids.

Sweet, beautiful Brazilian animation, without words, so no need to worry about any language barriers. Story told through the eyes of a young boy, heartbroken, searching for his father who had to leave the countryside to work in the city for a better life. The boys's journey is full of wonder and innocence, and at times surreal and like a dream.

So very colourful and so artistic. The music is really beautiful and poignant too. The children were mesmerised. 8/10

Went to see the first two episodes of Master of None (Season 2), to be shown on Netflix, followed by a very funny Q&A with it's star, Aziz Ansari and his Italian co-star, Alessandra Mastronardi at Soho Hotel.

Much better than I was expecting. Charming and very funny. 9/10

Now I need to find someone with Netflix!
