The Last Word
Went to see this on Tuesday night with The Times (so I got in free). Film was a TV movie in my opinion. Shirley MacLaine was good, co star was average and the child was a touch precocious.. predictable ending. I would give I think 7 out of 10.

I too saw this as a Times + free viewing and really enjoyed the film. I thought Shirley Maclaine was very good as the bitter has-been and thought the chemistry between her and the other actors was very good. I did feel sorry for her which is always a good sign of a film well made in my opinion. I think it is worth seeing.

I saw it through Times+ at Baillieston last Tuesday, and I too found it to be an enjoyable watch, although I agree with MeGaskell in that I would have been happy to watch on the TV screen and would not have chosen to p*y for the film. Liked all the main roles and there was good chemistry.
