Wimbledon Tennis

#1 Post by destresserai » Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:03 am

Glad to see the Vuvuzelas have been banned from Wimbledon next week. I will now be able to watch the tennis in peace apart from the grunting of the players to annoy me.

Shame to see there will be no English men playing in the Championships this year so I will have to support the Scot!

James Goddall and James Ward instantly spring to mind.

It is the first time in 133 years that an Englishman has not played at Wimbledon.

I remember James goddall from last year. It's really good you're supporting the english players, most people hardly even know their names!!

Apparently they can be heard on a certain frequency and so űber techies could tune them out by adjusting the tv...

Maybe all I'll have to contend with is an awful rendition of the national anthem on centre court on Thursday when the Queen is meant to be going. I know I only keep company with the best of people such as those found on FMUK but spending the day with the Queen is a little too much........

Let's hope she doesn't decide to go on the second Tuesday as well...... I want to munch on my strawberries and cream without worrying if the cream is half way down my chin.
