saw The Adams Family Musical last week. Thin on plot (just a love story for Wednesday and her b/f), and Gomez looked a bit old to be Gomez, but the songs and costumes/sets were sorted.
was slightly disappointed that Lurch never said - " you rang?"
Saw Graeme of Thrones and I'm afraid its as patchy as its been reported to be, however there were some scenes that stood out above the banal. If there had been more of them it would have been areally decent show.
What should really be done is the GOT franchise be put in the hands of a team who know how to rip ashow apart for fun, like the guys who made Peter Pan/Play that Goes Wrong. They would kill this!
Our Great Tchaikovsky - I was initially disappointed it was a solo show, but as it went on it won me over. Music was very good. Dont go in expecting a standard production, its more of a mature horrible histories lesson.

Hi everyone. I went to see " Our great Tchaikovsky " play at the Other theatre on Thursday. I thought it was good and he was an excellent pianist but it would have been nice to see interaction with other characters. The venue itself is brilliant and really well located in London Victoria !
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I thought 'Our Great Tchaikovsky' was stunning. It was easily the best thing I've seen there since Lloyd Webber took it over. The writing, the staging and the performance were all excellent and I wouldn't have wanted to change anything at all.

woah bluesfest was totally stripped down, no foyer stages, no interviews or talks, barely any merchandise. Its not a festival anymore, just another standard expensive 02 gig. If 02 arent going to put the effort in then they should move it back to the Albert Hall.

saw Gorillaz last week, they put on a really good show even if their music quality didnt always match the effort they put in. Even in the vacuous o2 Greenwich it worked well. Though the most talented thing about them is still Jamie Hewletts gangly artwork.

there were indeed, thankfully no Oasis members this night.cliveas wrote:An incredible stream of guests!
The West country's Damon Albarn could do well with dropping the mockney accent, he sounds a tad ridiculous still faking it when hes nearly 50. Other than that though a cracking night, they really put the effort into making it worth recording for their obviously forthcoming DVD.
Mixed bag yesterdays dayoff-
Saw Christmas Carol show at Leicester Square, it was PANTS! It was a spoof of 1930's radio shows but goodness the joke wore thin five minutes in. Change the phonograph mate.
Saw Follies for free via voucher which I thought was ok though there were a few walkouts. I love the period and the "2nd half".
Heseinberg Principle - well acted if a little unbelievable plot. The screwloose lady in particular was very convincing as the slightly nutty american.
Went free to the National Transport Museum. Well its hardly "National", it seems to be about London if anything. They are having a laugh charging £18 to get into this sham. Coventry Transport Museum is much bigger and its free! Charging more than a fiver for the London one is crazy, though for free I was well chuffed.
Also did the Historical Experience tour for free at Benjamin Franklin house which was fun. They have a thespian walk you round the place enacting scenes. One thing, the guy recording Benjamin's voice has an American accent, and I'm not sure the accent had actually evolved when he was alive? The house is rather bare, I guess their budget wont let allow them decor yet as they seem to be running a tight ship, so I donated one of my old fivers.
