Peter Rabbit

#1 Post by raj101 » Tue Mar 27, 2018 10:53 am

This is a decent young kids film, with few adult references. I never read these books, but I doubt any of this plot is derived from the original stories. Yet the characters of the different rabbits come across well and the animation is spot on, plus theres Rose Byrne to convince dad to tag along.

See it when it comes becomes a £2 kids screening in the summer (obviously).

4 stars.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Having my Odeon Limitless card has many advantages . . .one being I have now seen the film twice . . .once on release day and again today before the children are all on school holidays. I enjoyed it even better the 2nd time thoughI did enjoy it at first viewing. Great family entertainment particularly at Easter.

I saw this with my 5 year old who thoroughly enjoyed it and laughed lots at the slapstick humour. I do usually find James Cordon irritating but it was surprisingly watchable, although I would have preferred more of a focus on the rabbits, as there did seem to be more screen time than expected for the humans.

Charming and lots of humour. Loved every character including the two human leads, Domhnall Gleeson "I am not a bad man" and the lovely Rose Byrne "They are rabbits!" Hysterical.

Really good casting, animation and slapstick story. A very enjoyable, and fun watch. Slapstick humour in the vein of Tom and Jerry and the Looney Tunes, Sylvester and Tweetie Pie "I think I killed a pussy cat!" and Bugs Bunny.

Really lovely for the whole family. Lots of kiddies in my screening, it was a joy to listen to their squeals, giggles and laughter as the story unfolded.
