Re: Shrek Forever After
Saw this yesterday at Wimbledon. It was a nice surprise to find popcorn on our seats. Thankfully, I had brought a backpack so I managed to take a few more bags with me for the following screenings (we went to 3 yesterday).
I was also annoyed that an interview with bits of the film was shown before the screening. I thought the film was much better than Shrek 3 but not as good as the first 2. I quite liked the alternative reality, which made it possible to reinvent the characters and introduce some funny new ones. 8.5/10

Re: Shrek Forever After
Went to see this yesterday with my children at the metrocentre.....wondered why we had to be there for 10am for a 11am start.
Free face painting being the answer.....My little one had his face painted a lovely green shrek colour and had shrek tattoo's on each arm! I too had a lovely shrek tattoo with girlie gliter on too! They did try to tempt me to a face tattoo but i managed to resist knowing we would be goibng shopping after the screening! I did however encourage some other film goers to get a tattoo! lol
Free "Ogre Bogie" green popcorn! (or so my little one called it much to his delight! Thankfully not bogie flavoured!
This was all our first time for a 3D film and we all thorughly enjoyed it!
Fab film.....overall experience of cinema, atmosphere, film....GOOD GOOD and GOOD!
Made for a lovely fathers day and felt very privy to be able to obtain tix for such a film!!

So you did traipse all the way to West London? I changed my mind and gave my tickets to merryberry, and went to see Karate Kid instead - decided to go to the nearer cinema!hdaniel82 wrote:I really enjoyed this! 8.5/10

Re: Shrek Forever After
Yup I got up at the crack of dawn and schlepped to Wimbledon, glad I did, it was a really good movie, I liked it better than Toy Story. I'd already seen KK last Thursday, and much as I liked that I don't want to see it again so soon!prettyxcool wrote:So you did traipse all the way to West London? Don't think anyone from here won that Shrek competition for the central London venue plus hotel.

Re: Shrek Forever After
You know, after seeing how casually the cinema people treated attendance at the Toy Story 3 screening, I think if we had tried, we would have probably got into the Shrek screening as well!

I was shocked at the indifference shown by the cinema staff. Didn't realise Shrek was playing at the same time!
