Re: Test
Someone posted a potential solution here:

And as soon as I swapped in a clean phpbb_config table, it sent out the emails I was missing for poor Mr Test

Re: Test
I got it. But the issue I have is that I get notifications for 'minor' threads. It is anything that has a large subscription that I don't get. It is like I am bottom of the list and it times out before the alerts come to me.
Also if you're looking for another tester I know Rawsalsa also has had issues receiving alerts from free films.

Re: Test
Thanks. Yeah, the dummy account is still getting notifications for this thread very late, whereas I'm not, so it lends credence to the theory.
This afternoon I'll try out some more things re: the potential solution above, but if we're not getting anywhere we could try
a) resetting everyone's email notifications and "has read latest post" status and see if that jolts it into working right
and/or
b) Requiring a certain number of posts before being able to turn on email subscriptions, as discussed previously
The frustrating thing is that neither of these are guaranteed to be the fix by any means. I can't isolate the issue, whether it's the limit to the number of outbound emails the server allows us to send, mail getting blocked as spam someway along the delivery system, or a clogged phpbb.
