Bombshell

#1 Post by stuartboy » Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:24 pm

Utter drivel.

Worst film in a long time. There could have been one female lead anchorwoman. There could have been forty. Who knows. They all looked like clones of one another. Couldn't even recognise even one actress. Despite having seen cast at start credits.
Bored doesn't come close.

I didnt like it,too spongey. Worthy topic though.

Not fussed, 1971 was on next door in IMAX.

thought there was a lot of old people in the bombshell audience but the 1917 audience were the gran squad.

Personally, I did find it interesting. It was something that passed me by at the time, as the Harvey Weinstein scandal was covered more here in the U.K. "They all looked like clones of one another" is a valid comment but I think that was the point, to a certain degree. I think it will divide audiences.

I can't believe the p*y off they two creeps got! I thought it was a powerful movie, it made me angry and it made me sad. It hit close to home, although I have never been sexually harrased, someone close to me has. Who do these creeps think they are?? John Lithgow played the part well, I hated his character! Lol 7/10

I did see it in the end thankfully i didn't p*y for it because although the topic was an important one the lead actors did not make me care enough about what was happening from the performances they gave. Although the scene with margot robbie and john lithgow made me feel disgusted as it should. It also is disgusting that the money he and Bill got pa*d by the murdochs after what they did. 6/10 is what i would give it not worthy of oscar nominations for the lead actresses in my opinion.

Based on the real life sexual-harassment story at Fox News, although one main character played by Margot Robbie is a composite of all the real life people that have been sexually harassed by the then Chairman and CEO of Fox News, Roger Ailes, what a sleazebag, played by John Lithgow brilliantly.

Thought it was a good cast and good performances from Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron too. Although, sometimes could not tell them apart, as they were made up to look very similar, it was the Fox look.

Interesting watch. 7/10
