Help!! AYBG, please can we have the old link thingie back? You know, the one I mentioned earlier but couldn't figure out what it was called? The one that's been replaced by two links: view unread posts and view new posts.

We just got back home and I was having a look @ MSE and realised that there was a code for a new film: made in dagenham that was posted at lunchtime. I thought that it was odd that FMUK hadn't had that code cos we're usually way faster than MSE (kudos to our fab members, of course!!) and also as I've been clicking the 'View new posts' link when on FMUK to keep up to date whenever I logged in.

Strangely enough, this new film thread didn't show for me at all (shouldn't it have turned up as a new post?) It's a bit confusing and I know I could just shut up but I don't understand why this happened.

Before, you just had to press one link and saw all the new and unread stuff together. It was dead simple keeping track. You're probably gonna say lazy cow, she should try clicking view unread posts the first time and then view new posts the second time...but it just seems like things should be nice and simple.

I don't want to sound ungrateful (sorry if I do by asking for what, in my mind, was a simpler way to check stuff here) because I most definitely am not. I love the fact that you've put so much time and effort upgrading the site (even though I don't know what half of it is...but hey that's just my dumb self ), making it snazzier and better to navigate. I also love the fact that you take on board everything that we say, want or harass you about (lol remember the smilies? ).

I'm just sad that I totally missed seeing a code/film thread despite being around at that time. I know you're always great with feedback and anything to improve FMUK, which is practically my second home , so I figured I would ask.

I'm sure I could get used to checking both links each and every time but, as I said, I would love a simpler way to do it since we had it as simple as one click before. You're welcome to tell me to go to hell

Err...before, even if I had read/posted on this thread, it woulda showed up at the top of the list when clicking the inside link, even though the little thingie near the thread title wouldn't have been lit up (orange). But this doesn't show up on the inside link (which is view unread posts). And, in fact, even though I haven't read the dagenham thread, it only shows up in 'view unread posts' but not in 'view new posts'. Confusing for me lol Oh well.

Anyway, lol maybe I'm just overanalyzing or something

Sadly, I never took a screen shot of the forum (I mean why would I ) otherwise I could have talked myself outta being confused by looking at the links at the top and comparing them. Maybe I got a knock on the head or something....some kind of short term(I hope) amnesia???
