The Last Airbender

#1 Post by hdaniel82 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 4:46 pm

Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Four nations are tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang teams with Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world. Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film “The Last Airbender” is the opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive.

Yes very odd. It says free draw to anyone who uses their Mastercard but I got a ticket straight away. Did anyone actually get a confirmation email? My printer is low on ink and I'd like to reprint the ticket on my work printer.

Yes its very strange theres nothing about requesting p*rchase details, and in fact it doesnt even ask for any personal details either, just name and email.

I got tickets and printed them out too :) Thanks sunny saver!

Do you think there will be mastercard staff at the cinema to check?

Does anyone know if these previews are in 2D or 3D?

Oh dear - 8% from Rottentomatoes based on 126 reviews!!

Consensus: Despite flashy special effects, The Last Airbender squanders the potential of its popular source material on an incomprehensible plot, laughable dialogue, and a joyless sense of detachment.

Didn't work. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get a reminder at some point. I have a ticket printed out but the inks a bit faded. You can still make the details out so it should be okay.

As for the 3D or 2D question, the poster on the ticket says 3D, so I'm guessing it will be in 3D. Which means I'll be taking the 3D glasses I pa*d for at the Odeon Kingston yesterday with me, just in case.
