Re: Best Cinema Food in London
Excelent article! I live near the Brixton Ritzy and I love watching movies in this great picture house chilling out with my friends at its indoor/outdoor bar and cafeteria before the movie. The Electric is the most exotic venue I've ever been to with invidual leather armchairs and leather foot stool!! I've been to the Curzon Soho but I never took advantage of its elite food offerings! Must do so some day.
However, um..having become somewhat of a health and fitness guru in training, I will have to encourage you all to pack your own lunches and make these cinema food treats as a once in awhile treat, dont eat a lot of this rubbish!
great link though, chemenger

The booze selection at the BFI Southbank might be good (I wouldn't know) but you are not allowed to take any food in nor is there any popcorn or other snacks to b*y - disappointing in a way but makes it less smelly or noisy inside.
In my hometown in Germany we had a four screen cinema which was outstanding anyway and has nurtured my early love of cinema brilliantly, but the smallest screen actually doubled as a small bar - you had tables with low-light lamps in front of your cosy two-seater and before the film a waitress went round and took the orders - tasty pizzas, toast hawaii or icecreams. I used to love it there, and eating a whole pizza with fork and knife in a cinema is something you should experience at least once! Now the cinema has been sold and looks like any other cinema.... so sad.
