I had the tennis game you plugged in the tv with controls like etch a sketch; I too wanted a Commodore but they cost like £100 8O

We had a lock on the phone because my sister kept on running up bills.

Who remembers getting continental quilts?

Lol des, when did they do pound notes? I missed that one!

They only went out of circulation in 1988 (although the Royal Mint stopped printing them in 1984) - so not too many decades ago!

When I was young we didn't have all the toys and gadgets that kids today have but we were never bored. Played out in the street after school with your pals - boys played football and we girls all played with a skipping rope or a hoola hoop or teamed up with the boys and all played hide and seek. The weather always semed better then as we stayed out until bedtime.

When I was young, I loved playing hopscotch.

I loved playing monopoly, cluedo and other old board games on cold rainy days with my siblings! I liked owning Park Lane and Mayfair. :D

Mmmmm I loved cerelac and farley's rusks.....in fact I still do! :giggle:

Oh yeah, and I was gonna marry michael j fox/tom cruise/rob lowe/morten from A-ha/Face man from the A-team/etc/etc/etc when I grew up. I'm not quite sure how I was gonna marry all of them or in what order but lets just say I was gonna give Alexis Colby a run for her money!

Ooooh yes, hopscotch, red rover, playing with Sindy dolls (we couldn't afford Barbie :p ) and climbing apple trees. Gosh I remember aniseed balls, gobstoppers and those sherbet dip lollies. And 5p tomato flavour crisps!!

We played Gauntlet II and harrier attack on a computer that used.......cassette tapes!!!

Oh christ. My mum used to make me wear 'thermals' too, a_person!!!

Whoa, ZX84 with the monstrous 1kb RAM? Wasnt that ZX80/ZX81? Lol, so long ago, we're forgetting the names but now we're talking! I have more respect for programmers of those days as they had to be incredibly clever to write pruductive software and games with such limited resources. Actually I was too little to remember that but while owning the ZX Spectrum, I had been in awe of its legendary predeccessors!

Cant help laughing, as a_person, Syd and co stare at us with blank expressions...

And I remembered b*ying gob stoppers for half pence...half pence! I'm waiting for someone to tell us what they b*ght for tuppence and one shilling, lol.
