What Would You Do With An Extra Day Off?

#1 Post by Ms Thrifty » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:39 pm

I took an extra day off this week because I had so much to do before going away that I wanted to make sure I had time for everything. The plan, however, was to reward myself with a day out instead if I made good progress, but now I am wondering how best to spend the precious day I have saved! I was out walking all day yesterday so it's a bit soon for another trek and I've been stuck indoors all day doing chores today so I want to get out, but the weather is too nice to spend it going to London to catch up on films and plays, which would normally be my first choice.

So, I know some people would probably say "Sleep!" or "Do nothing", but if you had a spare day at short notice, how would you spend it?

Well yes, the plan was 2 or 3 of those or a mixture of films and plays, but it's so lovely outside that I can't squander the whole day on public transport and stewing in the dark! And I have visited all the houses/castles/gardens for miles around. Maybe I should have a trip to the seaside...

Yes, it must be very tiring at present for you, tilly, and you probably have a commute on top. When do you give up?

I am not very good at sitting still - except, of course, in the cinema and theatre; then it's a case of not being very good at staying awake.. but it's a thought!

Not too long, then, and you'll miss the Xmas madness at work and travelling in the worst of the winter weather.
