Just returned from Edinburgh screening

Big thanks to Anji rose for tickets cheer: :cheer:

Very busy as the only screening and quite a few latecomers, glad they all got seats.

Terrific film, gripping stuff and two great leads. John v Denzil great pairing.

Obviously we will have to agree to disagree about John T

Thought underground lighting very good, showed the difficulties of being underground.
Denzil beginning to look older, scene with the Mayor pointless at the end, liked the milk, but a wee bit disappointed tih the ending.

8/10 for the film plus 2 bonus ponts for John T giving 10/10 from me :D

Saw this tonight at Odeon, Birmingham. The film was a little late in starting, cinema about 70% full. Really enjoyed the first 55 minutes of the film then the film started to run upside down and sound was running backwards. This continued for about 4/5 minutes, the film then stopped.A member of the Odeon staff made an apology about the problem then the film restarted about 22 minutes later but further on in the story. This really spoilt our enjoyment of the film. Will have to p*y to go and see it again. Thought JT and DW were brilliant. 8/10 for the film, 3/10 for the Odeon.

I was in Birmingham aswell (The stop start showing)

not sure how much was missed with the restart and again with the glitch about 3/4 into the film.
It ruined the tension that was simmering throughout the film.

despite this, i was really impressed with the film and i thought JT was incredible, definitely made the film!

Saw the film tonight at Odeon Covent garden after managing to get tickets this morning (many thanks to Phunkygal posting code). Very good remake. Denzel was excellent as the everyman hero and Travolta in one of his best roles as a villain since Face/Off and Broken Arrow! Highly recommended.

Saw this at at Odeon Surrey Quays, only about 70-75% full surprisingly. Enjoyed the film until the last 15 minutes or so which I thought was a little bit OTT, but overall enjoyable, so 7.5/10.

Saw this last night in Edinburgh,Westerhailes which is not my favourite cinema. I had not seen the original film so I thought this was very good.

Cinema almost full with only a few empty seats at the front. WHY do pepole always come in late. Annoying!!!

That was some day at work - so glad he remembered the milk!!!

8 out of 10 from me.

Saw this at West Thurrock Odeon last night, which was very full! Thoroughly enjoyed it, although agree with mdweaver that the end was a bit disappointing.
8 out of 10 from me too. Definitely worth seeing.

I was at Odeon Covent Garden too. Sat relatively near the front as the 'premier' seats (the good ones anyway) were taken. Didn't mind too much :p
I had not seen the original, so was looking forward to watching it (my boyf was pretty excited about it). I enjoyed it, good 'easy viewing' as my boyf put it. Not as fast paced as I thought it would be, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment. Travolta made a good baddie and Washington seemed comfy in his reluctant hero role, Gandolfini made a convincing Mayor too. There were scenes of violence, though not OTT for what was required to make the scene (I think :p).
8.5/10
Preferred cinemas: All Central London: APOLLO Piccadilly, EMPIRE Leicester Sq; ODEONS: Leicester Sq/Covent Garden/West End/Whiteleys/Panton St; VUE: West End/Fulham/Islington, CINEWORLD: Haymarket/Shaftesbury Ave; Brixton Ritzy,
Then: Westfield, o2, Clapham

Caught it today for cheap, hoped for more, especially from the lackluster script, but the acting and editing saved it, still it's nice to see those Tony Scott style palettes and camera work everywhere.

Thought this was a brilliant film. Very well shot and managed to get the atmosphere just right. Both Washington and Travolta did a brilliant job. I liked the story and the splattering of humour worked wonders. A great ending as well which really matters so definately an 8/10. Go see it!
