My free trial of Taste of London card will expire on 24th Aug. I actually find this one quite useful. very much useful than the Gourmet Society Card. Gourmet Society Card is a SCAM! I got a free trial card for two months. Without allowing me to fully enjoy the whole two months though because before the trial period end (not after the trial period as should be), am supposed to send them back the card on a recorded mail. The card reached a day late and the manager insisted on charging my creditcard a £39 for auto renewal of a year membership. I told them I have never used the card before for the free period because I did not find it interesting, but was charged somehow. So I will not recommend anyone to subscribe on the Gourmet Society Membership even if it being offered a free trial.

From the MSE newsletter:

We’ve blagged free three-month taste card memberships for MoneySavers. It's a discount card scheme that saves you 50% at more than 2,500+ UK restaurants and normally costs up to £70/yr (used to be called tastelondon, but is now nationwide).

To grab a card, sign up via this taste page, before 11.59pm Friday 10 Sept. There’s no limit on the amount of people who can sign up. If you bagged a free 1yr tastelondon card the last time we ran this offer, you can still get this three-month offer this time. Yet if you've already had a free three-month trial, you can't.

I have now got my 3 month one through, as my other ran out in August. I used a different e mail address and used my office address instead of home.

Hmm, dilemma. I hopefully have a three month trial Taste Card on the way after signing up to the offer (thanks to Beate for posting). But today an email went around at work saying any staff could have a corporate rate of £29.99 for a year long membership. That offer expires next week. So, assuming the trial card arrives ok would you have the free trial and then see what the joining fee would be or just plump for the reduced membership rate now?I think I'd use it quite a bit as I'm usually to be found in the kinds of chain restaurants linked to the card.

£29.99 is the rate that they usually offer after your trial is finished so the "corporate rate" is nothing special.

Ah ha. Well then I'll take three months free and then see what happens after that. Thanks.
