Debate of the Day

#1 Post by Spanner » Sat Sep 18, 2010 1:41 pm

I spotted this video on my internet providers homepage and they were asking people to comment on whether is was harmless fun or child expliotation. The ensuing comments were really varied and it was interesting to see how differently we all view things, so I though maybe we could have a debate of the day thread. please feel free to post something for discussion or participate in an ongoing discussion. Here's your starter for ten.....

I personally think its harmless fun, shes simply explaining what shed heard that night and doesnt have any idea that her parents were doing the dirty deed
I find it quite cute the way she tells it x)

Well personally I think the father just asked her over and over again what she heard just so he could post it on YouTube and send it to his mates to show what a 'great' lover he was. Man obviously has 'SMS'. Am not sure if it's 'child exploitation' though just man playing to his own ego. Dickhead.

I thought this was a bit icky. The little girl is cute and she's saying harmless things, but the father just keeps going on and on and getting her to repeat it and elaborate so he can get it on tape. Should he not try to explain to his daughter what mummy and daddy were doing, as she obviously doesn't understand. I thought the father was an idiot who was only interested in cheap laughs.

i'm not sure why people even create videos like this.

its commonsense that its dark territory. moreover its a matter for private discussion within a family. what these video makes will do in the name of opinion surveying is ridiculous.
some thing are commonsense. its apity that too many peopel arent brought up with that these days.

I came across this when I was trying to find something to illustrate today's topic,

to be honest it's not got a lot to do with what i was going to ask, but I liked it anyway.

What I was going to ask is.....would you intervene if you saw a fight? yes, no or maybe and if so under what circumstances?

depends on the location and circumstance.

in a university hall, yes, you arent going to get hurt by posh young middle class students who dont to hurt anyone bad enough to warrant getting kicked out.

in the streets of Paris's darkest district, no, we just hurried off as quick as we could.

reverse that for another one though.

Would you help someone who was hopelessly drunk?

in university, i wouldnt, they deserve all they get for being stupid enough to drink that much, and they arent going to get hurt lying around out of it on the campus.

in the city streets, yes. or else someone more discourteous may get a hand on them, and that would beterrible outcome that could have been avoided.
