Oh yea..please take some medicine with you like paracetamol!

Getting a cold/flu is very common at the beginning of university. When you put a lot of people from different parts of the world/uk in to one place ie. freshers fair/freshers ball etc. Bacteria..germs etc spread....and they combine to create a flu type thing that has been dubbed the Freshers Flu!

Thanks OP for starting this thread picked up some good tips and printed off the list posted. I am taking DD to Nottingham today to move in her halls, never realised she had so much stuff!

i never realised i had so much stuff either! ive got 3 boxes filled and thats not even half my room :| havent started my wardrobe yet either D:

The fun begins when you have to unload it and find new home for it in your student accommodation. Spent half the day with DD packing stuff in the car, 2 suitcases, 3 boxes and about 6 large carrier bags of stuff. When we got to the halls she was on 3rd floor so had to take upstairs in 4 trips!!! I helped her to unpack some and brought 1 of the suitcases back and 2 of the boxes, but didn't have enough time to help her put it all away. Surprised at the amount of storage in the room, considering the size, I am sure she will find a place for everything.

Cor blimey, poor you akh43. I almost died carrying one 20kg suitcase plus a 10kg side bag. Hate to imagine how you must have felt.

3) Any central London cinema including Islington (excluding Shepherd's Bush, and Whiteleys unless it's some super duper cool film)
4) Odeon Greenwich or Odeon Surrey Quays

gosh thats alot of stuff :O and to the third floor aswell!
i think im on the second floor, so i might have a similar predicament!
ive got 2 hours to move in everything, im hoping ill have a space for everything, im going to sort out my wardrobe tomorrow, ive done all of the main stuff and last minte basics will have to go in on saturday morning
wish me luck! :D
and fingers crossed i havent got the roommates from hell :P
