The Ugly Truth
Re: The Ugly Truth
hmm sorry guys I had very little good to say about this so maybe I shouldn't say anything at all hehe but at least I didn't walk out of the cinema like some did.
The vibrating underwear, the falling from the tree and the ball game scenes made me chuckle but I'm going to be generous giving this a 2/10!

Re: The Ugly Truth
Did anyone else have at their screening the mysterious on-screen announcement that it was a "Times Culture Plus" event? Presumably Vue Croydon Grants displayed this in error.
Re: The Ugly Truth
Saw this in Coventry and enjoyed the film a lot more than I thought I would!
Gerard Butler really made the movie and I am not sure if it would have been any good without him.

Re: The Ugly Truth
Saw this at Vue West End where it was packed. Got there early at 6pm and we were told to wait in the bar area since the screen wasn't ready yet. When the guy announced it was ready people practically ran and there was a lot of pushing and shoving just to get on to the escalators. Some people can be so inconsiderate.
The movie was a typical romcom but I enjoyed it and so did the majority of the audience although people around me weren't laughing much so it's not for everyone. It was definitely a lot more crude than general chick flicks which may have been why. It was entertaining so i'll give it 8/10.

Saw this thanks to AYBG
who donated tickets. Hubby and I really enjoyed it. Quite a few laugh out loud moments and much better than we expected it to be.

Ms Thrifty wrote:I enjoyed this and preferred the pace and tone to that of "The Proposal", though I liked that, too. This was short and sweet and probably equally forgettable, but it didn't drag and the crudeness was quite refreshing in a way, though not overdone. I certainly laughed out loud a few times - the closest comparison for me would be "The Hangover" but for girls.
I saw this at Greenwich and have to agree with Ms Thrifty - we enjoyed this predicable romcom. 7/10

Re: The Ugly Truth
I loved this film, it had me chuckling all the way through. The two leads were brilliant. It has a few too many similarities to the proposal for my liking, this has the edge on humour I think, allbeit somewhat cruder. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10 but I'm knocking 0.5 off for the pathetic hot air balloon scenery in the penultimate scene.

Re: The Ugly Truth
I saw this in Guildford tonight. Predictably my boyfriend hated it, but i loved it!
Bit of a predictable rom-com but there were some really funny bits. Katherine is fab, and Gerard hot - what more could a girl want! lol!

Re: The Ugly Truth
Saw this at Lothian Road, Edinburgh. Cinema was full and for once no one came in late but the guy in the aisle opposite keep sending text messages on his phone which was distracting. Enjoyed it and had some funny moments but preferred The Proposal to this.
Now where can you b*y that underwear!!!!

Saw this in Edinburgh tonight, very busy.
Predictable Rom com, you knew how it was going to end, but quite a few laughs along the way.
Really liked Gerard and Katherine. Think will be more enjoyable for the guys than Proposal.
