One nationwide organisation recruits people to occasionally visit a cinema and make a list of the promotional material or trailers. The visitor is not allowed to stay and watch the film but they are a pa*d a fee for each assignment that could range from about £5 to over £10.
I have enjoyed carrying out a number of assignments for this organisation and can recommend the experience as interesting.

Re: Being pa*d to check promotional material
Firstmovies had a VIP group a few years back. They were going strong and we got to see loads of movies, sometimes 2 a month. They had proper preview screenings after which the lights would go on and everyone would get a 2 page feedback form to fill in which included questions about your favourite part of the film, favourite characters, the trailers and how excited we were about certain forthcoming movies. It usually took about 4 mins to fill in and was quite fun. Also they sometimes had a raffle at the screening - I remember one lass winning loads of dvds.
Also, a week after the screening, on occasion, you'd get a phonecall from one of the FirstMovies team asking you a few questions about it - have you told your friends, are you gonna see it again, etc.
Dunno what happened to this lovely VIP preview group but they were ace! Kinda disappeared into thin air....

At the time of writing there are vacancies in over 80 locations thorought The UK and Ireland, with a number of opportunities throughout Scotland.
All available asignments are listed at
