Sainsburys have partnered up with ScotRail to offer out return train fares for just £18, if you use the promotional code SAINSBURYS10 (CASE SENSITIVE) . Once you've entered the code, tick whether you'll be travelling with a child or not, and then book the tickets as you normally would, but for only £18 return. If you are travelling with a child, they travel for free.

Not a bad way to visit Scotland.

Hundreds of thousands of seats. One low price.

We've got hundreds of thousands of seats on offer on our trains, to a range of great destinations across the East Coast route – including London, Edinburgh, York, Leeds, Newcastle and Durham. At just £8 one way, it's a small price to p*y for a big day out.

But hurry – at these prices, tickets won't be around forever. Book your seat by 13 December for travel between 5 January and 17 February at eastcoast.co.uk/8 or tell a friend about this fantastic deal here.

Not sure if this is a travel deal as such, but Virgin Trains are offering free wi-fi in standard class until February 28th. Shame they only announced this when we got to Rugby on our way to London, but at least it gives me a free hour of reading fmuk on my phone.
No codes are needed. You just put wi-fi on and it finds the Virgin Trains network, you click connect and away you go.

I b*ght tickets for travel London to York return leaving 8:30 Monday 31 January returning 19:35 Thursday 3 Feb - total cost £16.

However due to personal circumstances cannot use them so wondered if there was anyone interested in them........ otherwise any suggestions - just trying to recoup the cost and they are a bargain ;)
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

Train tickets from 50p
Southern railway are doing single trips from 50p for journeys within their area up to 31 August 2011. You need to book by tomorrow night Sunday. Not all journeys are included. For instance Victoria to Brighton is included but East Croydon to Brighton is the regular price. The website is slow but should be working.

See www.southernrailway.com
