Re: Sunshine Cleaning
Hi all, I went to Harrogate with PeteYork. I drove 30 minutes to his house (drive past the end of his road) then he drove the 30 minutes to Harrogate. We received an email saying that the film started at 12 noon and finished at 1:30pm so on those times i could get there and back to pick up the little ones from school.
When we arrived we were told the film times had been changed and it would finish at 2:15, which would only give me 45 minutes to get to Peteyork's and then all the way home...
The cinema said they were only told that day that there was a screening and had to fit it in around a screening of Night at the Museum???
So not only did i miss the film but because of my timing problems PeteYork did too...i felt really bad for Peteyork but like a star after a coffee in a posh cafe he drove me back to my car.
Yet another example of how easy SFF get it wrong

Re: Sunshine Cleaning
I've recently seen this film and found it rather amusing in places. I thought it was a tender, caring story as well, and enjoyed the development of the relationships between the main characters. I was especially touched by the interaction between the child and the one-armed shopkeeper.
7/10 from me.

Yay - I'm so pleased you liked it Andrews. I can't believe this film didn't generate much enthusiasm on the boards here. One of my faves of the year!

Re: Sunshine Cleaning
I wished I had seen it on the big screen though, cellar_door! Always preferable, I think.
