No one likes doing it in our company. It doesn't achieve anything.

I agree - I am trying to convince our Director not to bother this year as all staff have already been told there is a complete p*y freeze so does seem a bit pointless. I am trying to come up with an alternative idea as to how all the staff can discuss how their jobs are going and how they can develop them - all the ideas I have come up with so far seem a little condescending so still working on it!

Creative p*y their money into my account hehe.

Thing is, would have been retiring in 5 years if the government hadn't started messing with retirement ages. I'm not starting a career, I'm counting the time till I can go.

I've just looked at last years and changed them slightly. This is we have to grade ourselves as well which is rubbish, and more importantly this years bonus is reliant on your grades 8O

Management decides on our bonuses. How we grade ourselves wouldn't make any difference, but thankfully those stupid performance reviews have died a quiet death a few years back. Getting bonus at the end of this month....

We grade it then the manager agrees or disagrees. everyone gets a 3 as far as I know, a 4 is unheard of and a 2 is if you are in serious trouble. WE get ours in MArch I think

Same here, we just take the previous years and tweak it a bit, we have a discussion, this has been a good/bad year, we grade and then manager agrees or disagrees, and doesn't make an ounce of difference as at the end of the day management decides our bonuses!

No bonuses here in the public sector and p*y has been frozen since last year and continue to be frozen. :(

And we STILL have to do performance reviews which are a complete waste of time.
