What's Your Favourite Genre?
Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
And what about Bollywood? I know I am always banging on about it, but surely that's a genre in its own right?

Kind of but then within Bollywood you get all of these genres so it's more of a language thing, what do you think?

Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
March of the Penguins and Man on Wire were both documentary films and they were both very good!a_person wrote:Init though, I totally agree!Ms Thrifty wrote:0 votes so far for historical/documentary! I suppose historical could come under "drama", but documentaries, no thanks.
I've never even seen a documentary film - can't say I'd want to though!

Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
Too generous, offering us three votes, Spanner. Thrillers, dramas and action movies do it for me, but since I've joined this site, I'm up for most genres, as you know.

Re: What's Your Favourite Genre?
I like a strong narrative but preferably violence-free and set in the present day. Not really confined to one genre but Andrews has summed it up pretty well with "thrillers, action and drama.". Comedy is welcome but not too broad and it doesn't have to be a comic film, just a film with some humour, especially if it relieves tension or suspense.
