Country singer, Charlie Louvin dies aged 83. Saw him at Dingwalls as part of the BBC Electric Proms back in 2007. A fantastic gig.

What a massive shame. He was a legend. I remember his music from all of the Bond films :(

One of the best composers ever. I'll have to listen to my Bond soundtracks on the MP3. Shame as well, cos its the 50 year Bond aniversary coming up.

Oh no :( One of my all time favourite composers too. Such a wealth of great scores. My favourites were Ipcress File, Pursuaders, and On her Majest Secret Service. Loved more of his 60/70s instrumentals but his grandeur pieces were majestic, particularly Dances with Wolves, Born Free and Out of Africa.

Yeah, Valda that is sad he wont be around for the 50th anniversary :(

RIP

OHMS is one of my all time fav Bond Themes, and one of my all time fav Bond movies. (folloowed closely by You only Live Twice and Diamonds are for ever.

As to the Persuaders, that was sublime, both the show and the soundtrack.

Despite finding Amanda Holden annoying, I couldn't help but feel sympathy when I read that she had a miscarriage at 7 months pregnant.
