I loved this! After the recent crop of heavy films, it felt like a breath of fresh air. Granted it has its flaws and it was very, very predictable, but it held my attention and made me giggle, but I think the loudest laugh was for the man snoring really loudly at a particularly tense bit of the film. Thought Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher made a nice couple. The end bits just showed who ended up with whom, if you were interested. I was generally in a good mood this evening, so may be I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. 9/10

Thought this was ok and wont really appreciate it until I get 2 c sum real bad films later on in the year lol. The guy out of Neighbours did a good American accent and was happy people finished their popcorn quite early as they came in noisy bags ??? and apart from 1 guzzler, the noise didnt bother me!
Nobody's perfect!!!

I saw this movie in Edinburgh last night and I really enjoyed the experience. The girl welcoming us with popcorn was really friendly and professional. I wasn't expecting popcorn at all so that was a nice surprise although I felt bad for people who had buckets of popcorn ... The movie itself was surprisingly good. I mean, it was predictable and all but really entertaining and it made me laugh. Natalie Portman performed her role really well (as always) portraiting herself as someone quite awkward in relationships. I though Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman connected well as a couple in the movie. Overall I would give it a 7.5/10.

One thing that really bothered me, that I forgot to mention is how "5 years ago" they (and their friends) meet at a frat party at the University of Michiagan... then magically everyone is transported to California. What the hell is that point of that? Michigan is a long ways from Cali so why they wouldn't have set the party at a more local uni is beyond me. Just a really dumb move.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Saw this in Belfast last night and really hated it!! I'm so disappointed in the extremely talented and usually picky (about roles) Portman. Kutcher is always in fluff so wasn't expecting much from him, but Portmans character, an obviously very smart doctor, was such a stupid character outside of work only showing women to be either crying over periods, being completely erratic(the fighting scene) or being overly emotional - shoving cream buns in her face while crying and singing along to sad music. Really bad film - even by chick flick/ rom-com standards.
Did enjoy the free popcorn though and I agree I really loved the Sign Language short shown at the beginning - definately better than the feature!

i think the point of that was to show how they kept bumping into each other constantly even though they were both moving so far away. as in it was fate for them to be together as they kept ending up in the same places. at least that's what i took from the changes in location.
