Congrats Milkchocmonkey.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone or if you don't believe in it Happy Anti-Valentine's Day.

Last year, I was shopping in M&S for my Val's Day Meal for Two. One of my friends rung. He's been married maybe 25 years. I said 'Just shopping for my Val's Day meal'.

'Oh God, when is it?!' he said really grumpily.

'Err, 14 February, like it is every year.'

'Oh God, I'm going into work.'

'Err, it's a Sunday.'

'I don't care, I'm going into work.'

And yes, he went into the office and spent his Valentine's Day, away from his wife but with a load of spreadsheets. :rofl2:

Got a card and two bunches of flowers all together in one vase (just the flowers not the card). 4 of the roses were hanging their heads already. At work some people have brought in heart-shaped cookies, chocs and jelly beans.

Well, this year's Valentine's Day wasn't entirely the epitome of depression. Nobody asked anyone out at school, which was nice, and nobody really sent any cards, either. It was an effortless day for all. So my friends and I picked out a guy at random and tore apart a sheet of paper and wrote fake and rather crude Valentine's messages to him, planting them on him at various stages in the day. I wrote a rather hilarious one which desired obscene things in a Soho toilet.

What gleeful irreverence! It definitely made my day.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

as expected, i got nothing.

well not unless you count the very unromantic unexpected unflattering offer of phone sex at 2am, followed by the announcement that he fancies me, how could i not know this and he wants to give a relationship a go (we hardly even speak!) .... ok now can we have phone sex? no! why not? because. yeah but i fancy you... i don't care... yeah but i said i'd give it a go being together... well wait then. go on you know you want to. no. oh ok.

then total silence ALL day today.

great.

i hope everyone else single or otherwise is having the kind of day they want!
