Re: Curious login problem
Works fine for me on IE
Re: Curious login problem
i seemed to be getting the same problem that andrews brought up...
showing that i had a pm when i logged in, but as soon as i tried to access it, i seemed to get logged out and it showed no message ( ie the top corner had the login / register options) I was still on the board and was showing in the bottom part of the screen as one of the visiting members. after reading andrews post i tried to access the message via the email notification, and that let me access the site (message in question - andrews moving of scores - what a star!!!
)
now i will be the first to admit that i am not fully au fait with everything that aybg has been very hard at work at (and it does look fantastic btw!), and what it means (php, url etc
) but i have the feeling i may not be alone

Re: Curious login problem
Are you sure it was this site and not the original site/a temp site you had registered on?

Re: Curious login problem
Anything that happened after 10.15pm until about 1.15am last night was lost as AYBG had to do a restore from backup when an update he was doing crashed the site. AYBG thought there would only be missing messages but anyone registering in that period would no longer be registered after the restore, and that is probably what happened to you.

Re: Curious login problem
^What steve said is correct. Restoring the mysql database effectively rolls back time to when it was downloaded.

Re: Curious login problem
It's funny, cos theoretically (if I still have the backups) we can visit the board, a year from now, as it is now and laugh at how naive we all were
