The BBC have just released a new blog on the state of HMV:

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Gosh, that's frightening. Let's hope they can persuade the banks.

KK you better use your HMV purepoints quickly for those HMV screenings in case they go bust

I have many HMV purepoints also. It would be a massive shame to see them go to waste...

The HMV opposite Bond Street station is now closed..... I believe they are still keeping the other one near the Plaza towards TCR.
I havent shopped in one for a good long while, mostly I get bits n pieces from Play.com or Amazon. I did however do HMV online ordering at Christmas when they were offering free delivery.

Reading this and other news articles, I really do not think there will be a 'high street' as we know it by the end of 2016 and that's if we survive The Mayans 2012 theory!
