Re: Rio
I really don't care about which character has which accent or which one he should have but I must say that I thought for the longest time the Bulldog was named Louise as that's how it was pronounced by the birds, LOL. Luiz is a different name altogether!

Oh thats what it was a ringtone, I was really surprised no one said anything despite it going off so many times!

i thought the film was good, not great but i was half asleep!
i was actually more impressed at how well behaved the kids seemed to be! there was one who talked ALL the way through the film and her dad chatted back with her rather than saying they'd talk about it after... oh and someone seemed to have an Arial singing ringtone on their phone, which went off about 4 times :S But very impressed with kids! One sweet child behind me said.... "why is the dog dribbling so much?" hehehe sweet!
oh and my sister, my mum and i got our photo done and it's hilarious! i know it was supposed to be for the kids but we had a right giggle!

omg that ringtone of arial singing was so annoying!!! The person was too far away to tell who it was/be able to say anything to about it!superhero wrote:Oh thats what it was a ringtone, I was really surprised no one said anything despite it going off so many times!

I was near the ringtone and contemplating saying something when it went off for the 4th time, but didn't want to further interrupt everyone else

Saw this in Empire Leicester Square this morning. Slightly disappointed as was expecting the lovely screen 1. Cute, but nothing special. Did like Nigel the villains song though. There was a nice moment after Linda told Blue she never broke a promise and a little voice in the audience piped up "Oh yes, you did". As a parent must admit had a guilty little laugh....

I was annoyed that only one guy had a Brazilian accent. I even thought to myself "I bet it's Rodrigo Santoro" and I was right. In my opinion, the Brazilian accent is very different from the other South American accents.Celini wrote:well, Spanish/Mexican and Portuguese/Brazilian accents are still very different... not sure I would have been more convinced!
who is the guy doing the voice over of the bird sanctuary doc? (cant remember the name of the character!)
(remind me of all these people thinking I am German... I am French, and I have a French accent... but obviously not everybody can distinguish accents)
@funthing29: I agree with you that Rodrigo Santoro is gorgeous. I watched an entire Brazilian soap opera in 1995 just because that guy was on it.

Re: Rio
I think it was people in the row in front of me but they were too far down from me to say anything. it's like they knew they were going to be annoying, they sat on their own on the end with a big gap of about 4 or 5 seats next to them. they weren't really annoying for the child talking, what can you do eh? although if it was them with the phone then yes, no excuse for phones ringing in cinemas imo!superhero wrote:I was near the ringtone and contemplating saying something when it went off for the 4th time, but didn't want to further interrupt everyone else

Wow what a mixed reviews here, but there's no right or wrong with personal taste :)
Thanks to ejwrank, I managed to attend the screenings at Empire with the neighbour's kid. My OH and I always have a soft spot for cutesy animation (me all my life and managed to turn my OH into one too
). We LOVE the movie. We laughed a lot, and felt the movie is quite fast. And the songs, loved it (heard the Samba song in American Idol last Thursday...). And it definitely didn't hurt to get all the goodies, photos, balloons and face painting. And the popcorn. And the nice free tix at the back of the newspaper. Thinking of spreading the love to a friend and her kid, the free tix will surely make them happy! just surprise they only use the Screen 2... really small
It's and easy 9 of 10 from us..... nite nite all
ps: We love Jesse as Blu but I also found it a bit weird Anne as a Brazilian Macaw with no accent at all (I thought she had it when they 1st met in the lab..... then the accent just disappeared). I couldn't really tell on accent, even she pretended to speak in Spanish accent, I would be please.
