Yes, it is probably more trouble than it is worth and for me, would detract from the pleasure of going out for a meal. I think I will stick to my discount deals with coupons, rather than trying to get my expenses refunded. It would be the same with other things I enjoy, such as going to the theatre (and cinema, of course!), i.e. a completely different experience, and possibly a less enjoyable one, if you were there in a professional/official capacity.

The idea of people skating around with hot bowls of porridge is making me a feel a bit nervous just now, I managed to scald my hands with hot porridge the other morning. I've now got a huge blister on my little finger and red welts over my hands, not fun when I need to wear gloves where I work :tears: I do really like porridge though and I'm enjoying getting back into eating it again now the weather has got a bit colder.

I haven't managed to eat out for free properly (unless you count people taking me out for meals :p ) but I have used the 50% off, 2 for 1, etc. vouchers for the likes of Pizza Express, La Tasca and Strada. I would normally rather go to independent restaurants than chain ones but the vouchers are handy and mean I can manage to eat out more often than I normally would. I also got the voucher for the free bar of milka the other week which was great.

I am sorry to hear about your porridge accident, I must get some in now really fancy a bowl my partner does the cooking so he can risk burning !
I find allot of the 241 offers disappointing and am totally relieved I did not p*y full price, La Tasca comes to mind should have been £32, £32 for two people who went home still hungry, same with Pizza Express, did enjoy Sizzling pubs £2.99 meals good value for what they are ...

Not strictly free but you do have to put in a little effort. Anybody tried the mystery shopping websites?. Retail Eyes is good for JD Wetherspoons meals o/ you have to p*y for meals but get it refunded later.
GABusters enable you to mystery shop Pizza Hut again you p*y on the day and get it refunded later. The online report is very simple to do.
Combine a mystery shop with a free preview and you get a great night out.
