I found a blu-ray copy of the Japanese version but can't find a dubbed version.... Although I'm okay with subtitles, if a very good dubbed version is available then I think I would prefer to watch it dubbed...

Mr Glass I haven't actually watched any of the films you've mentioned but I think I will download them and give it a try....

Then I suggest you start with Spirited Away. Its a great intro to everything about Miyazaki's style. Dont expect fast pace. Its an absorbing type film. Surreal, topical and mesmerising if you allow it room to draw you in :)

Oh and watch it dubbed. The dubbing for all Studio Glib movies are top quality voice acting. Its nothing like watching live action chinese films and their atrociously bad dubbings!
My film reviews here . ......My FMUK 2014 ratings.......My FMUK 2011 ratings.......My FMUK 2013 ratings . ......My FMUK 2012 ratings .

Saw this a long while back as I have family in Japan....it is truly a beautiful movie. The animation is stunning and the characters are so sweet. As in most Hayao Miyazaki movies, there is a lesson in the movie, this time about love and friendship.

I saw this as subbed....I am not a big fan of watching Hayao Miyazaki's movies dubbed but I have to admit the dubbed movies of his I have seen were done pretty well.

would recommend a watch of this movie!

Its a beautiful, strange little film. One of the more cutesy Ghibli films I've seen, like My Neighbour Totoro. In parts it is amazing, but there are patches where it loses its way slightly. Overall excellent, and a real treat to see this stunning animation on a big screen.

Caught this today.
Devastated that it never matched up to even the weaker Miyazaki films. Found it dull, overbearing in the environmental message, and offering nothing to make the film worth watching, so upset.
