I had no idea they were making a film of this book until I saw this thread. Funny how things sneak up on you. I'm thrilled though, as I loved the book.
I've read it twice, and I've recommended it to other people a lot. I'm looking forward to the film, but hoping it doesn't make a hash of it. I will be interested to see how they cope with the crazy structure, leaping backwards and forwards in time. It could be very confusing for the uninitiated.
Fingers crossed there are some free preview tickets coming our way too!

I loved the book, but this is one film that I hope they change the end a bit. The book left me feeling that she was a bit hard done by.

This is coming out on Friday right? So unless they do what they did with Angels and Demons, I doubt this will be an SFF screening. :( Would have loved to watch this too. x

For all those who have read the book and now really want to see the film, I would just point out that the film itself was made a couple of years ago and then kept on the shelf until now. That, coupled with the fact that there have been no preview screenings made available, suggests that even the studio doesn't think much of their own film!

Of course, you should always try and make up your own mind about a film, but it doesn't hurt to lower your expectations a little beforehand... :P

i basically spend my days at work reading film blogs and sites and i have heard nothing about this film apart form a couple of comments after the press screening this week on how its a sob story but not any more positive or negative than that.

i would say no news is good news but apart from the bus poster campaign there has been no other advertisment I've seen - no promotions or hype at all which says to me its gonna be pretty dismal. I read the book recently in case there were previews but am gonna wait till its out on dvd rather than waste some of my free tix
