The Time Traveler's Wife
A Chicago librarian suffers from a rare genetic disorder that sends him hurtling through time whenever he is under extreme duress; despite the fact that he vanishes at inordinately frequent and lengthy intervals, he attempts to build a stable future with the beautiful young heiress he loves. Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams star in this dramatic fantasy, which is directed by Robert Schwentke and based on the best-selling book by author Audrey Niffenegger.

Gosh IamJen, i've been whittling on about this book for yonks, loved it so much...just a little afraid that the film won't live upto the high expectations of the book
but i've got to remind myself not to sit there cross-armed thinking its going to let me down...

Good news everyone I've invented a device that makes you read this in your head in my voice!

Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
My now-defunct Book Club chose this and I still didn't manage to read it, so I had better unearth my copy in readiness. I suppose we will be forced to endure the US spelling, so I shall call it "3TW".
Re: The Time Traveler's Wife
i had not heard of the book before i saw the trailer the other week. It looks good need to remember to pick up the book so i can read it before the film is out.

Yup! Not sure whether to read the book again before or not... I think sometimes it's actually better not to, as then the film feels more refreshing and surprising and you get less caught up between any inconsistencies between book and film.
