Phew - that's my Mum's Xmas present sorted. I can't believe how much of my life was wasted today. It took me four hours if refreshing five different ticket websites and more than 200 attempted mobile calls to engaged ticket hotlines. Finally got in via ticketmaster in Ireland. Even then it was fifth tier at Wembley, but I'm delighted to have got a Saturday date so I'm very happy.
The touts were posting obscenely priced tickets within ten minutes of them going on sale. I wish everyone would boycott them or tickets required I.d like at Glastonbury.

I was at work today and my colleagues phoneline rang which I had to do a group pickup for as she was OOO. I answered and said, "Good afternoon, "ORGANISATION NAME" how can I help you?" The guy on the other end turned around and goes "I've so waited so fu**ing long." I was so confused as a) the number was outside of London b) customers calls should not divert through to the back office phones.

The guy continued to swear to say "I've f***king waited ages and ages" so I thought, "uh oh I got a mad customer on the phone, whose done what now to upset them." So I was like, "okkkkkk" and then he goes "I f**king wanted to b*y some f**king tickets and f***ing been waiting and waiting and now they've all f***king sold out." At this point, I realised "ok you must have the wrong number as we don't sell tickets or anything of any kind here so what on earth is he talking about."

So I asked "I'm very sorry, exactly, how can I help you? If you could tell me who you want to speak to, I can either redirect you or put you through." At this point, the guy goes, "It's not you, is it Beth?" I'm like, "no my name is not Beth." And then he started laughing! He was then like "I'm really sorry, I thought Beth was going to pick up... It's about Take That tickets. They've completely sold out and I'm now so f**king pissed off." He then continued laughing, saying "just forget we had this conversation." At this point, I was speechless! It turned out to be her Dad!

Speechless because:

a) it was my colleague's dad swearing like that. 8O
b) why he was even calling the work line when she's permanently glued to her Blackberry!

PS I NEVER swear when I'm at work (except silently inside my head so nobody can hear)!! Completely separate persona! Nor do I expect other professionals to call my organisation and swear at us over the phone!!!!!!!!

Absolutely, even if you are not a particular fan of the music, the actual events they put on are amazing. Each tour I've been to I think there's no way they can surpase the last one, but they manage it somehow.
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
