Re: Inception
Yes the ushers were a bit annoying. Everytime I went in I was told to switch my phone off even though no one really checked this afterwards, people were told to move along in some rows and during the film there were two of them wandering up and down the side aisles with night goggles!

Re: Inception
It was definitely a shit theatre. I can understand not allocating theatre 1, as they probably didn't feel the need to give away 1300 tickets for such an amazing film, but damn was it ever cramped in there with a horrible sightline. I was maybe 4 rows from the front and missed some of the subtitles myself. Still, I think we're lucky to have gotten this one for free.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Re: Inception
I never sent you a narked off text!!! You read it wrong!Beate wrote: When a_person sent me a narked off text from the front rows, I enquired again.

At least you guys were somewhere near the back, I'm short as it is and I had someone who was 6' 2" sitting in front of me!

Anyway it was better that I sat away from you Beate, I really needed leg space today so fidgeted fidgeted and fidgeted. And that screen was just so shit. When I was walking in I heard the manager say, "strictly no late admittance, movie must start 6:30pm pronto" and STILL people came in late

I was using my phone in the middle since Gainsbourg popped up. Then some dudes kept coming down and using their binocular style thing!Beate wrote:Yes the ushers were a bit annoying. Re: Inception
I was also four rows from the front too! Hardly any leg space at the front. At one point I felt the ushers would have been happier, if we just sat on top of each other and watched the movie.soonforgotten wrote:It was definitely a shit theatre. Re: Inception
Next time I'll make sure I put loads of exclamation marks for you so you don't take it in a narked off way! Hardly had time to send you a text properly when the usher kept coming every few minutes, had to make do with what I could do - it is touch screen after all!Beate wrote:It was definitely narked off, maybe not with me but just generally about having to sit at the front!
And of course I wasn't chuffed about sitting at the front but thats what you get for coming late.

Re: Inception
We almost had to sit separately cos got there at 6.20
but thanks to a sweet lad who moved after coming back with popcorn ended up alright although twas annoying that the eejit behind kept kicking bf's seat
Film was really gripping but, like someone already said, you really needed to use your brain - definitely not some silly romcom - and my wee brain hurt. Of course, I recorded Eastenders earlier and just watched it so my brain is getting better - Lucas is such a bloody liar!!

Re: Inception
Really small. Believe me, I saw Easy Virtue at the Odeon Leicester Square and the screen was maybe just double the size of our telly so maybe 60" max. Definitely not a proper cinema experience. It sucked!a_person wrote:Seriously, how much smaller can it get? Did you not come sh?
