As for The Hurt Locker beating Avatar, I'm glad to see that the better film won in the end as I really thought that the voters were going to pick Avatar
There are already quite a few conspiracies floating around to explain why The Hurt Locker won (actor v cgi backlash, liberal protest against the war, a demonstration of art v box office, etc.) but personally I'm just happy to believe that The Hurt Locker was one of the best, if not the best, films of 2009...
