There was a slight bias towards the Brits (as is always the case with British award ceremonies), but aside from that most of the awards seemed to end up where they should have gone to - so all in all not a bad night for the Baftas!

I was so happy for Colin Firth, I thought he did an amazing job but I am worried about this british bias. Already none of the big Hollywood stars attended such as Meryl Streep, George Clooney and Jeff Bridges. Judging by this british bias, it will be even less likely they and other hollywood stars will bother to fly over in future.

Just seen Colin Firth in A Single Man and he definitely deserves the BAFTA (and also Oscar in my view). Can see why he originally was reluctant to take the role until the fridge man intervened though - it is a little gayly "risque" in parts despite its 12A certificate. Brilliant film.

Does anyone remember whether they only showed Bafta-winning films for free last year in that Bafta week?

These are the winning films:
A Single Man
An Education
Inglorious Basterds
Precious
The Hurt Locker
Up in the Air
Fish Tank
The Young Victoria
A Prophet
Up

Moon

I have actually not seen 5 of them, really hoping for A Single Man! If I remember rightly they limit you to two films per voucher or visit to the cinema counter though.

 I've seen all of them, still wouldn't mind seeing most of them again though.

Yeah, it was good to see Moon getting some recognition - particularly as it was one of the better films of last year and is part of a genre that is often overlooked when it comes to awards (although Avatar is bucking that trend this year it is more likely to be a one-off brought on by its technical achievements)

Okay, just quoting from Free Films, these are the films and locations:

All Cineworlds

Didsbury
Edinburgh
Glasgow Renfrew Street
Nottingham
Shaftesbury Avenue, London
Sheffield
Wandsworth

The Hurt Locker
The Young Victoria

An Education
Inglorious Basterds
Fish Tank

Armed with this it's relatively easy to find out when they are playing, the Shaftesbury Avenue Cineworld for example has the following times (assuming these will be the Bafta screenings):

The Hurt Locker

Sun 07 Mar 18:30

The Young Victoria
Fri 05 Mar 12:30
Sun 07 Mar 21:20

Moon

The site also says

The tour also includes the chance to watch Twilight (New Mooon), showcasing the talents of Orange Rising Star Award winner, Kristen Stewart
