Re: Movie Gossip and News
If someone wants to try and catch a glimpse of Johnny Depp, he is currently filming the lastest Pirates of the Caribbean at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich for the next 6 weeks. We can see the building from our window, but unfortunately not him!

Did you hear about Johnny Depp 'dropping in' on the lucky pupils at a Greenwich school? They wrote him a letter to invite him along......hmmm, I wonder if he would come to my work if I wrote him a letter too?Beate wrote:If someone wants to try and catch a glimpse of Johnny Depp, he is currently filming the lastest Pirates of the Caribbean at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich for the next 6 weeks. Re: Movie Gossip and News
British actor Andrew Garfield (Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network) is to play comic book superhero Spider-Man in the next outing of the film series, it has been announced.
The 26-year-old, raised in the UK but born in California, will begin work on the new movie in December.
His previous credits include last year's The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus alongside the late Heath Ledger.
Former Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and director Sam Raimi departed the franchise after making three films.
The new instalment, to be shot in 3D, will focus on the formative years of Peter Parker, the unremarkable youth who - after being bitten by a radioactive spider, is transformed into the superhero.
The movie has yet to be named.

Re: Movie Gossip and News
Jean-Claude Van Damme has reportedly suffered a minor heart attack on the set of his latest movie.
The action film star was taken to hospital in New Orleans on Tuesday 19 October, a day after his 50th birthday. The good news, however, is that the 'Muscles from Brussels' is now recovering.
He was given the all-clear by doctors, who expect him to make a full recovery, and headed back to Belgium with his wife, Gladys Portugues.
After filming scenes for his latest movie 'Weapon' in Romania, Van Damme had flown to New Orleans to begin a three-day shoot when he was taken ill.
While the star's rep remained tight-lipped on the matter, reports on the incident vary - from the martial arts expert collapsing on set to him taking himself to hospital.
There are also conflicting reports on the progress of the film, with some saying production has been halted and others, such as Moviehole, reporting that, "The film hasn't actually 'halted', it's just worked around Van Damme's close-ups. The film is as good as done."
Scheduled to be released in 2011, 'Weapon' will see Van Damme as an assassin tackling a drug cartel.

Streep to portray Thatcher in 'sympathetic' light. (Personally, I don't see how that's possible)
While some might expect Meryl Streep to play former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with 'Devil Wears Prada' style toughness in upcoming biopic 'The Iron Lady', the Oscar winner will portray her in a "sympathetic" light, according to her co-star.
Jim Broadbent, who will play Thatcher's devoted husband Dennis in the movie, believes Streep will be "fantastic"in the role that will at times show a softer side to the union-battling, Falklands War-declaring ex-PM. He insists his portrayal of Dennis Thatcher will be equally sympathetic.
"Of course it will be a sympathetic portrayal, that's what he was, he was very sympathetic," the 'Harry Potter' actor told the Associated Press.
"It'll be a sympathetic portrayal of Margaret as well."
While few might draw comparisons between the no-nonsense Conservative and Bridget Jones, Broadbent believes Streep will be every bit as convincing with her English accent as Renee Zellwegger was in the popular rom-coms.
"She'll be fantastic. She'll be as good as Renee Zellweger was playing Bridget Jones. For me it's a real treat."
