Movie Gossip and News
It looks like Hollywood is close to assembling its A-Team for the big screen re-make of the classic 80s TV show.
Nothing has been officially confirmed yet but Liam Neeson is in talks to play John 'Hannibal' Smith – the charismatic leader of The A-Team. The role was made famous on the TV show by late actor George Peppard.
Neeson's name for the part has come from nowhere, but it's an inspired choice. Certainly, it's a more interesting name than others that have been rumoured including Bruce Willis and Mark Wahlberg.
The Neeson news follows reports that Bradley Cooper is likely to play womaniser Templeton 'Faceman' Peck. The actor has been used mostly in supporting roles in comedies like 'The Wedding Crashers' and 'Failure To Launch', but has been propelled into the big time thanks to his stand out turn in US box office smash 'The Hangover'.
Terminator Salvation's Common is being heavily linked to follow in the incredibly huge footsteps of Mr T to play B.A Baracus. If true, it would see the rapper/actor reunited with his 'Smokin Aces' director Joe Carnahan, who is on helming duties.
It means the only question mark is on 'Howlin mad' Murdock. Woody Harrelson has been mooted, as has Ryan Reynolds, whose star seems to have risen rappidly since marrying Scarlett Johansson in 2008 but they are yet to be decided.
Neeson and Cooper are canny casting ideas that should ensure some short term goodwill from the show's fans, but do we really need an A-Team movie? Mr T has already told Yahoo! Movies that he refuses to give the film his blessing, and the other living actors from the show look to follow suit.
Are you excited about the film? Or do you pity the fool who has to take on the infamous characters?
Who would you pick as your perfect A-Team?

Will G.I. Joe be the summer’s biggest flop?
After 'Transformers' became a huge hit – with its sequel 'Revenge Of The Fallen' looking to follow suit – it wasn't a surprise that Paramount and toy company Hasbro looked at other 80s kid favourites they could dust off for the big screen.
However, it doesn't look good for 'G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra'. The forthcoming summer blockbuster is having to fend off rumours of the film's director being fired and a less than positive review from a test screening.
It was recently reported that director Stephen Sommers ('The Mummy' series) was fired and locked out of the editing room. "In this day and age we are constantly dealing with online rumours that take on a life off their own. We love Steve and couldn't be happier with the movie he made," said Paramount, in response to the rumours.
Even the film's producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventure, waded into the debate, calling the allegations "completely untrue".
However, the action film, which sees an elite military force attempting to stop the evil and mysterious Cobra from destroying the world, has been given a thumbs down by a review on Slashfilm, which was obtained from a reported test screening recently.
The review called the film, which stars Sienna Miller, Channing Tatum and Dennis Quaid, an "ultimate failure".
However, the review reserves most of its venom for Miller – which states that they believe the British actress is a shoo-in for next years Razzie awards (an awards ceremony for the worst acting).
"She wears sunglasses half the movie, delivers normal lines as if they're one liners, and just cheeses everything up," states the reviewer.
Miller has said in the past about her character The Baroness, "It's about having fun. We're not trying to win awards for acting". Oh ye of little faith Sienna!
However, the reviewer does go on to moan that the film is "extremely cartoonish, silly and has over the top characters and endless one-liners".
But isn't that to be expected from a summer blockbuster?
Are you put off by the bad press or are you excited about 'G.I. Joe' which releases on the 7th August?

Indy is coming back for more
Steven Spielberg is ready to whip up another Indiana Jones adventure, according to Shia LaBeouf.
The Transformers star played Indy's son Mutt in last year's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull – and he has let slip that a fifth instalment is on its way.
Shia teased, "(Spielberg) has just said that he cracked the story on it before I left and I think they're gearing that up."
But where does that leave Shia's character in all this? George Lucas had previously hinted that Mutt could take over from the ageing Harrison Ford in the franchise, but seeing as Crystal Skull was met with a lukewarm reaction from fans and critics alike will they warm to Shia donning the famed fedora and whip.
Are you excited about a fifth Indiana Jones, or do you think they should let the character rest in peace?

Taxi for Pattinson
Poor old Robert Pattinson. The Twilight hunk was hit by a taxi after he attempted to escape from hordes of screaming females.
The actor was stunned but unharmed after he was clipped by the New York taxi, according to reports. The incident happened after Pattinson tried to escape from a large group of women who were desperate to get close to the heartthrob. His three bodyguards attempted to fend off the women, but as Pattinson escaped he was struck by the car.
It's been Beatles like hysteria for the star during shooting of the romantic drama Remember Me.
An insider on the movie told People, "It's been non stop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him. And the crowd goes nuts when they do see him."

Daniel Craig Ready to Bond With Frost/Nixon Dude.
Now that he's found some Solace, Daniel Craig is ready to be shaken and stirred again.
The 41-year-old Brit is set to don the tuxedo once more for the 23rd James Bond adventure, targeted to unspool in 2011.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have hired Frost/Nixon scribe Peter Morgan to join Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the veteran writing team behind the last four 007 installments—including the two previous Craig capers, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
"Peter, Neal and Robert are extraordinarily talented and we're looking forward to working with the three of them," Wilson and Broccoli said in a statement.
Morgan scored Oscar nominations for 2006's The Queen and 2008's Frost/Nixon, an adaptation of his hit play. Other than their duties for the spy series, Purvis and Wade most recently wrote The Brazilian Job, the forthcoming sequel to 2003's remake, The Italian Job.
Along with being immortalized as a frozen treat to the delight of all his lady fans, Craig is next slated to appear on the big screen in Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, due out in December 2011.
Unlike the last two Bond flicks, which were coproductions of Sony Pictures and MGM, the new Bond thriller will be distributed solely by MGM, which released the first 20 entries in the franchise.

Shatner to beam up for Star Trek sequel?
J.J. Abrams hasn't ruled out on including a William Shatner cameo in a sequel to this year's blockbuster Star Trek.
Shatner was somewhat irked that Leonard Nimoy (Spock) appeared in the film as a cameo and that he never. However, Abrams (whose new film re-booted the franchise) has stated that there is still a chance that Shatner's Captain Kirk could appear in future films - despite the obvious obstacle that the character died in 1994's Generations.
Abrams said, "The point of creating this independent timeline is to not have restrictions (and) one of those restrictions was that Kirk was dead.
"The fun is that the destiny of these characters is in their hands - it's not constrained by the preexisting films or TV series. It would be ridiculous to not to be open to those ideas."

Battleship is the latest board game to get a big screen makeover.
The hugely popular board game consists of two players trying to guess where their rival's battleship is on their grid. The film version however will be a epic naval action adventure, reports Reuters.
Hancock's Peter Berg is on board to helm the action adventure, while Jon and Erich Hoeber have signed up for screen writing duties.
It's not the first board game in development at Universal studios - Michael Bay's Ouija Board and Ridley Scott's Monopoly are coming to a cinema near you. Popular US game Candy Land will also appear on the big screen by Enchanted's Kevin Lima.
Get ready for 'You sunk my battleship' to be a cinema catchphrase in the future.
The list is endless. Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, Cluedo, Risk to name a few!!

Re: Movie Gossip and News
A HORROR movie made by a Swansea-born director for just £45 has been a surprise smash-hit at the Cannes Film Festival.
Colin was shot on a camcorder at locations in Swansea and London over an 18-month period.
It was the brainchild of Marc Price, originally from Swansea, but now living in London, who has no formal training in film-making and said he picked up most of his skills from DVD extras, such as directors' commentaries.
Now two Japanese companies have made bids to distribute the film, and Price is hoping for more offers after screenings at Cannes this week.
"It cost us about £45, which was spent on a crowbar and some tapes," Price said.
"We wanted to focus on story and character, and rely on that to hook the audience."
Zombie films have been a horror staple for years, but Colin is believed to be the first to tell the story from a zombie's viewpoint.
It's about the title character trying to understand what has happened to him rather than the usual humans trying to survive and escape the living dead.
"The ultimate goal was rather than going for screams, we wanted to try to move the audience, to try to get them to cry, get a real emotional response from them," said Price.
"We wanted to try to avoid what other films had done, which is why we began doing it from the zombie's perspective."
Price, aged 30, works for a courier firm in London. He hopes Colin, whose cast is made up of his friends, would show his potential and attract more money for his next project.
That will be set on board a World War Two bomber and be about a bombing crew returning from a mission when they are attacked by a strange creature.
"We were thinking of going for big bucks for this one, maybe a hundred quid," said Price.

Murphy is riddled by Batman rumours!
Don't expect to see Eddie Murphy don the Riddler costume anytime soon - he's laughed of the rumours. (Thank Goodness)
The Nutty Professor star has been constantly linked to the Riddler role for the new Batman movie, but insists he has never been approached by Warner Bros.
He said, "I've heard that rumour as well and I don't know anything about it. Whoever is really playing The Riddler is sitting at home calling his agent going, 'We've got to get this rumour stopped.'
However, Murphy admits he is desperate to play a part in the hugely popular franchise.
"I would love to be in one of those Batman movies. Jim Carrey did The Riddler once and he did a wonderful job. Egghead, I could be Egghead."
We will wait with baited breath.
