Thorntons made a real effort. It was cool and very Christmasy.

I'll visit you in hospital and bring you one of the goodie bags... I can't guarantee there'll be anything in the goodie bag, but it's the thought that counts.
Hahaha, thanks. It's good that I like bags then.
Although some chocolate would be nice since I have to cut down on my caffeine and haven't eaten much chocolate in the last 3 months!!!

Just went to Thorntons' Christmas Party to taste this Christmas' chocolates. It was so much fun, it was at a building near Chinatown and there was a Christmas wreath at the door, then one of Santa's elves let you in.

There were a group of carol singers on the stairs and the building was beautifully decorated, with snow on the windows. We were taken to a room that had an eight-foot chocolate Christmas tree and, you guessed it, a table full of Thorntons' chocolate/confectionery.

However, we were well supplied with savoury canapes too and my favourite snack... wasabi peas. We were also plied with warm mulled wine.

We were treated to a chocolate-tasting session with Thorntons' Chief Chocolatier, Keith. And after all that chocolate, we were given a very generous goodie bag to take home.

It was a tough afternoon, but someone had to do it . I behaved really well, so I hope I get invited again next year!
Sounds like the perfect afternoon to me. So pleased that you had a fabulous time o/
