Different things appeal to different people - I was simply not in he mood. Perhaps if I had seen it on the big screen, I may have liked it more.

I saw 8 women or 8 femmes in french.
It's a whodunnit/Musical it was shot in a theater ( as in wset end) kind of way.
It was very different and refreshing, I quite like it.

Watched a weird film called The Fall (MrAnakin's choice) which is by the same guy that did The Cell. I couldn't tell you what it was about, but weirdly it was quite good but so weird....

"Four Minutes" on DVD. I don't recall this being released in cinemas here, but it's the German film about a talented young pianist in prison for a crime she may not have committed, being coached for a competition by an elderly teacher who also has skeletons in her closet. The plot is a bit melodramatic and it's quite a long, intense and, in places, tense film, but enjoyable. Certainly the best I've rented for ages.

Re: Last Movie You Saw...
And I follow with.......Fame. I took myself off to see it yesterday with my last free ticket. I'd better start winning a few more. I had moderately low expectations of this film, but found that it was rather good. It was not a patch on the original, but there was some fine talent on screen. When I look back to some of the films we've seen this year, where up and coming actors are learning their craft, I have to say I hope that some of the cast of Fame go a long way. One young girl, in particular, has a marvellous voice. If she doesn't cut it as a film actress, she'll do well on the stage.
