My husband saw An Education at Shaftesbury Avenue on Saturday -- they insisted on giving him 2 tickets and he gave one away. He also got me a ticket for Fish Tank for Monday -- again they insisted he took two tickets although he only asked for one. So it seems pretty random how they treat you at the Box Office. No Telegraph needed -- only copy of the online form.

well there were only 14 of us at inglorious basterds in sheffield this afternoon so I would think the weekday, daytime screenings will be even quieter!

I went to see An Education on saturday night in Sheffield, never been on a saturday before, so underestimated how busy it would be. Had to stand in a massive queue, although this went down pretty quickly. Most Alice in Wonderland screenings had been fully booked. Got to the front and neither the staff nor cinema manager seemed to have any idea what these vouchers were for, which is odd, surely they must get told about these?. I had the rest of the page from the voucher so they read that too and let us have the tickets. The screening was pretty empty, hoping to see a few others this week too.

It seems the service at Shaftesbury Avenue is quite random. I have to go back tomorrow to get my ticket for An Education, hope there is still some left, if they handed to some and not to others.

Just been to Sheffield again to see Fish Tank. Staff still seem to have no idea that these vouchers are around, and they had to be checked again. I was told that you have to turn up on the day to book tickets for these, so weren't allowed any in advance of other days. The lights were turned off in the screen, and I could barely see a thing, so I actually had no idea if anyone else was in the room, but the lights soon came on and it turns out it was just me and a friend, who were then followed by 5 others.

Just got back from An Education at Shaftesbury Avenue. It must be weekend staff or they got their act together now as had no problems getting more tickets in advance in exchange for the downloaded vouchers - all sorted for the rest of the week now! Woohay! The only niggle was that we were told the screen was not ready when it was - so we were kept waiting for no reason and were left with five minutes to get to our seats, go to toilets etc., so when most people came in the film had already started!

Hurt Locker in Edinburgh last night was full and people were sitting on the steps! I presume most people pa*d rather than people with vouchers as they all came in late expecting trailers etc with loads of food.

That's my second viewing of Hurt Locker and it is an excellent film.
