Should be interesting. I think it got panned on Film 2010 but its struck a cord with the Oscars. Seeing it on Sunday.

I've never used first4movies before - got my parents a couple of tickets for this sunday but didn't have access to a printer when I booked the tickets, and the email address I used had a "+" symbol in it which I later discovered was ignored by the registration form, thus rendering the email address invalid. I have since put in an address it can read, but I'm wondering if/when they send a reminder so I can send the tickets over. So if anyone can fill me in on the past precedent that'd be great...

Alternatively, if there's any way to print out the tickets by navigating the site, that'd also be awesome.

Don't think this has even been reviewed on Film 2010 yet. It's out next week so will presumably be reviewed on next Tuesday's show.

I really enjoyed it! I was however a little late and missed the start, can anyone fill in the first 20 mins for me, what happened before James McAvoy turned up at Tolstoy's house? How did he come to be called there?
Preferred cinemas:
Weekdays: Central London (all West End), West India Quay, Greenwich O2, Vue Islington
Weekends: Greenwich (O2, Odeon, PH), Vue Stratford City, Stratford PH

Well the screening I was at started just after 10 past so you may not have missed much. In fact it doesn't sound like you missed much at all. The only thing that happened before that was James McAvoy in Paul Giammati's character's office getting the job and then arriving at his lodgings.

As for the film I thought it was really good. The acting was fantastic, especially the scenes between Christopher Plummer and Helen Mirren. It was beautifully shot too. If I had a criticism it would be that the film dragged a little towards the end but overall it was pretty good.
