I'm looking forward to seeing this one - getting lots of good write-ups in the press.

I have to say that this was not exactly a film I was terribly excited about. Gorgeous animation aside, it just didn't look like the kind of film I'd expect from Pixar.

And the truth it, it's not, but true to Pixar's abilities it is absolutely phenomenal. I'd guess it's almost certain to land in my top 3 of the year and I could easily see this getting a best pic nomination, which would be well deserved.

So here's my glowing, gushing review (spoiler-free, as always): http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/07/01/brave/
I'm feeling jealous, sf! :X
There was a showing in Edinburgh last night to close the Edinburgh Film Festival . . . did anyone manage to win tickets from the few comps which were around? August seems a long way away. . . :tears:

Perfectly written. Did you enjoy La Luna just as much as Brave? And did you catch the wee tiny bit at the end of the credits? I agree this could be one of my top three films of the year. Pity wikipedia has most of the plot on it already. Try not to read it or see the trailer as they do reveal some of the best bits.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.
