Where was everyone tonight? There were between 30 - 40 people at WIQ, pathetic!

The film didn't grab me that much, and was too long in my opinion. The lovely Emile Hirsch was criminally underused and the split-screening didn't work, it just made the screen too busy. We also didn't seem to have the film at full screen-length for some reason. Imelda Staunton was fabulous though, but then she always is.

I agree, I thought it was too long. The mother was excellent especially after the brownies :) The acting was great but the film didnt really go anywhere. I attended Sheffield Cineworld and the film stopped for about 5 minutes, with the lights out. No apology from the staff though. The cinema was about 75% full but it wasnt one of the larger screens

yeah loads of people nipped out for the loo (and I think a couple left) but I did wonder if there was anyone actually telling the staff it had stopped, if I had been closer to an aisle I would have done it.

I did enjoy it, but it didn't really go anywhere I think the split screen was to get across just how 'busy' it was. Considering I don't like 'tidy' ends to films I would have liked to have a bit more closure as to how the townspeople felt once it was all over and cleaned up etc.

Yes, there were lots of loose ends and some storylines not properly explored. They tried to cram too much in it but in the end it was all just half-baked.
